I am all of me in constant creation and/or disregard of aspects that I see fit or not, at the moment I create or change and live the novel of my life….
GypsetVaBu was created by Valerie A.B. after dropping a comfortable life in the U.S. and setting out to the unknown jungle of the world. One day she decided that she had had enough of the concept of a 9-5 job that paid well and set out to let the universe call her into unknown adventures. What started as a journey of self-discovery, turned into a journey of constant self-creation. Since starting her traveling adventure on August of 2014, she has been to 7 countries, more than 20 cities and has met amazing gypsetters that have had a huge impact on who she has become.
Before the adventure, living a nomadic lifestyle was nothing new to Valerie. She grew up in the U.S. and Mexico border in the city of Juarez, Mexico. Her childhood years consisted of going to school in the Texas city of El Paso and coming back everyday to Ciudad Juarez. She graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with a degree in International Business and Economics. She enjoys traveling alone to off the beaten track locations. Moreover, has lived in the United States, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, and Mexico (her birth country).
She can say that both Spanish and English are her first languages. She also speaks Italian; (Portuguese is still in the works). Her favourite language and the one she is constantly perfecting is the universal language of NONSENSE, of course.
She enjoys deep philosophical conversations that don’t go anywhere, but also enjoys the dark humorist jokes she shares with her friends, which she often calls her “tribe”. Fortunately she has found her tribesmen and women in most places she has visited. She is both a social butterfly and a hermit at times. Loves her solitude; but also gets a high from meeting people that differ from her. A music lover with tastes that are compiled of Indie, Jazz, Troubadour, Classical, Folk and very on few occasions Pop.
A hopeless romantic at times, but also a realist. She loves going out of her comfort zone, and believes that if we just let go and stop wanting to take control of every aspect of ourselves, the universe will lead us to what our path is; however, she knows that paths tend to change constantly. She is a complicated unfinished surrealist work of art…..
